We’ve recently welcomed Fallon Ismail to our ever growing Fashion Rider directory and we absolutely love her style! Fallon’s images are dramatic and loud, even on a vintage themed shoot there is an unmistakable hint of Fallon’s style in the form of brightly coloured balloons held by the model.
You can still clearly see the vintage theme to this shoot but Fallon gives it a slightly modern twist by adding the pop of bright colour with the balloons – I think it’s a refreshing take on the vintage theme, which can be repetitive and a bit boring truth be told, if not done well.
Fallon says she enjoys doing themed photo shoots and portfolios for models, and having them become a ‘character’ in the images. You can clearly see the characters in the images on her profile, but I would hate to give names to them – that’s Fallon’s job!
As I’ve said before Fallon’s images are dramatic, whether it’s a bright colour in the back or foreground of the image or the make-up used on the models. She has told Fashion Rider that she likes the campaigns of make-up brands MAC and Illamasqua and the influence of those images is clear to see in Fallon’s work.
My favourite image on Fallon’s profile is undoubtedly the above image. It stands out as one of the best on her profile, she says she gets a lot of comments on the set of images this one is from and she feels that it must be ‘something special’ for it to be continually singled out. I definitely think Fallon is onto something special and hope she continues long into the future with her themed work.
